Are You Coming to Grand Masters Day on Saturday June 12th 2010?
It's a great time to meet new friends or get reacquainted with old ones. All the different append ant bodies of the Connecticut Masonic Family are invited to march in the short parade, and many lodges will be there, too, marching with banners.
The residents of the Masonicare Health Center will be glad you came. This is one day we can all bring a smile to them. They wait all year for this big day, and we should all make an effort not to disappoint them.
It's a family day, too, with rides and activities for kids, picnic food and tours of the best healthcare facility in the state. Dress is casual, except for all the Grand Lodge officers, who usually change right after the brief ceremonies under the big tent. And get a scoop of Buck's Ice Cream, the best ice cream in the state. Proceeds benefit Masonicare's Quality of Life Fund.
The CTCHIP program is also requesting volunteers for Grand Masters Day. There will be a variety of tasks that everyone can help with and there is no experience required. Training will be available for those who need it. Volunteers will be needed from 9am to 2pm. If your available to volunteer please see anyone working within the CTCHIP program from more information on how you can help.
Come and greet MW Charlie Buck and MW Ron Thomas. This special day won't be as special without YOU there!

Help Masonicare win the Pepsi Refresh Challenge.
Masonicare of Wallingford has been entered into the Pepsi Refresh Challenge and are in the running to win $250,000 from Pepsi! But they need our help.
Their idea is to create a universal walking trail to benefit both staff and residents on the Wallingford campus. Masonicare is Connecticut's largest provider of health care services to seniors. We are open to all and are not for profit. Based in Wallingford, with locations throughout Connecticut, we provide skilled nursing care, long term care, and dementia care, assisted living, home health and hospice care, as well as retirement communities. If they win this grant it will be extremely beneficial to their senior community.
All you have to do is vote every day and every vote counts! Masonicare is revolutionizing the way senior health care communities are run and one day you just might need them like they need you now!!
