My Brothers,

I Sincerely appriciate the honor you have bestowed upon me.  Serving as your Worshipful Master in 2011, I hope to prove worthy of your confidence. I have an ambitious and, hopefully, interesting year planned.  Most events will be open to families and non-masons.  There will be dinners, fun nights, and a ladies night.  Our award ceremony is scheduled for a Saturday afternoon this year to allow some of our older members who have difficulties driving to attend.  I'm planning to combine traditions from the 3 great lodges that came together to form Valley Lodge.  This includes a Greorge Washington's Birthday observance in Febuary and an Annual Metting in December which includes and oyster stew and hot soups bar, for those of you not into oysters.  As with many schedules, nothing is carved in stone and things can be and I'm sure changed.

Over the past year, your Building Association has labored to bring our dreams of a new lodge hall froma drawing on paper to a building we can all justly be proud of.  Let us all work together in putting it to the use for which it is intended.

Times are changing my brothers and our fraternity in general and our lodge in particular must change with the times. There are many good organizations vying with us for membership.  We need to show the good men out there why they should join us.  Remember, one of out missions is to take good men and make them better.  This is our lodge and I will look to you for help and suggestions for making our lodge successful.
