GREETINGS FROM THE EAST

My Brothers,

Welcome to spring my Brothers. The future that we have been reaching for is finally coming to life. The new building we have been planning for the past year ot so, is finally at the end of the preliminary stages and we will be breaking ground for sure, the first part of May.  The ground Breaking ceremony will be the stepping stone of our future and we hope as many of you as possible can attend this event.  We are further planning a cornerstone laying the later part of May.  According to the architect and the building they are planning on having us in the new building by the first part of October 2010.  As these events unroll, let each and every on of you do our part to show the people of Simsbury the Valley Lodge #36 is alive and willing to be involved in their community.

The new Grand Lodge Web Site has been responsible for bringing us several new members.  At the present time, we have three new brothers coming up through the degrees and we are looking forward to when they will finally be Raised as Master Masons.  As these new members become active i am sure there enthusiasm will generate new members.  This enthusiasm can only be brought to them, but us as well.  As far as the website goes, Brothers Gary Lungarini and Michael Kelly have been actively managing our website as well as establishing Facebook page that brothers and friends world wide can see.

Even though we will not be formally meeting during the months of July and August, I have scheduled a family cookout at my home in Simsbury August 7th with a rain date of the 14th.
